COLLISION ANALYSIS
We investigate collisions involving: pedestrians, bicycles, motorcycles, passenger cars, PCVs, and HGVs. We are typically instructed to determine impact and approach speeds, lines of sight (from a driver’s perspective), and the time available for the parties to react. -
VIDEO ANALYSIS
Our experts can analyse video footage from vehicles (dashcam) and property (CCTV). We can determine vehicle speeds and the relative position of objects. Video footage can be enhanced for analysis.

VEHICLE DATA
Using the latest technology, we can extract vehicle data (including diagnostics, and Event Data Recorders). Our experts are certified to download and analyse the data from vehicles using the Bosch CDR tool. This data usually includes five seconds of pre-crash information (vehicle speed and driver input) and speed change experienced during the collision.

NIGHTTIME INCIDENTS
Using advanced investigation techniques, we can quantify the likely level of lighting available at the time of an incident. This service includes: streetlight mapping, headlight mapping, and pedestrian contrast measurement. -
EMPLOYERS / PUBLIC LIABILITY
We have the expertise to investigate incidents involving the general public and employees at work. Some of our past cases included: head injuries sustained at work, water-slide injuries, and falls from height.

SURVEYING
Our experts can conduct site and vehicle surveys using laser scanning and photogrammetry techniques. We can also process and convert survey data from other sources (e.g. police survey data).

With a degree in physics and 18 years professional experience, Paul applies his knowledge to the investigation and reconstruction of all types of accidents (including vehicle collisions and personal injury cases). He is a highly trusted expert who deals with the highest value claims (multi-million-pound) for major UK solicitors (Claimant and Defendant representatives) and insurance companies.
Dr Richard Ellwood – Principle Consultant
With a degree in Automotive Engineering, a PhD in Engineering, 25 years experience as an expert, and Chartered Engineer status, is it clear why Dr Ellwood is trusted by our clients to provide expert engineering advice. His expertise covers all aspects of collision investigation and he specialises in CCTV analysis, engineering failures, motorcycle incidents, and night-time pedestrian collisions. Dr Ellwood has extensive court experience in the UK and internationally.
Emily Barnett – Case Manager
Emily is a highly organised person; ideally suited for the job of managing cases, new instruction enquiries, and requests for experts’ availability. When Emily is not working she likes to spend her time climbing things (mostly walls, cliffs, and mountains).
